Teak Wood and Acacia Wood

A characteristic of teak is best known for durability and endurance against weather changes compared with other wood species. In addition also the character and color of fiber has its own characteristics. Hence the price of teak is more expensive.
Tree

Durability

Drying
Require a long time in drying is between 45-60 days, especially for wood thickness above 2.5 cm, thin wood can be done no more than 30 days. Characteristic acacia wood shrinkage also quite large, easy to bend, especially when laying in the Dry Kiln (conventional) is less precise.
Process Machinery & Construction
Easy on the machine process and the result is smooth and good. Concerning screws and nails are also very good. But be careful on the small thickness because acacia is fragile. Penetration of glue into the wood is also very good. Acacia wood is good used for flooring products, decking, patio furniture (semi outdoor) and interior decoration.
